Our Fall musical, Bye Bye Birdie, officially opened last Friday. From the ecstatically screaming teens, to the hip-swiveling Conrad Birdie (played by Brady Erickson, above left), the energy of this comedic musical will have you laughing the whole night. Principal leads Madeline Cooper and Alex Wallis (starring as Rose Alvarez and Albert Peterson) bring life and hilarity to the romantically frustrated couple.
The Daily News released a great article on Mainstage's production of Bye Bye Birdie, (even catching a few comments from the stars of the show) which you can read here. Bye Bye Birdie plays for one more weekend at R. A. Long, with performances Friday and Saturday (Nov. 20, 21) at 7:30 pm, and a matinee on Sunday (Nov. 22) at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $5 for students and senior citizens, and $10 for adults. Don't miss this exceedingly fun student production at Mainstage Theatre!
This year's fall musical is the comedic (and very satirical) Bye Bye Birdie, a show about the mayhem induced when a national rock-and-roll sensation is drafted into the army. The show is being Co-Directed by Susan Donahue and Jamie Hegstad, with Assistant Directors Caleb Pierce and Delaney Morgan. Katie Jansen returns as Music Director, and Teresa Jansen as Choreographer. Alex Wallis and Madeline Cooper star as the principal leads (Albert Peterson and Rose Alvarez). The rest of the cast can be found here.

Long on November 13, with performances on Nov 13, 14, 20, and 21 at 7:30 p.m., and a Nov 22 matinee at 3 p.m. We are proud to finally announce the official cast list for Bye Bye Birdie!
